CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College women's basketball team scored 44 second half points to come-from-behind to defeat Concordia Texas University, 66-59, in A.E. Wood Coliseum on Saturday night. 

Seniors Jalessa Taylor and Jennifer Wair led MC with 14 points in the game.  Wair tallied a double-double with 11 rebounds and also led the team with seven steals.  Taylor went 4-7 from the floor and made 6-7 free throws.

Senior Randa Lee and junior Brigit Taylor added 13 points apiece.  Despite shooting only 2-10 from the floor, Lee made 8-9 free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

The Lady Choctaws led the ASC, shooting 54% from the floor, but had to overcome a poor shooting night (21-57, 36.8%).

Concordia was led by Brianna Smith with 18 points.  Dominique Mayberry and Margaret Milling each finished in double-figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.  The Lady Choctaws held Tornado leading-scorer Shamika Singleton to only two points in the game.

The Lady Choctaws will play their final game before the Christmas break on Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. when they host Mary Hardin-Baylor in the "Golden Dome."
