COLLEGEVILLE, Pa – Ursinus sank six free throws in the final 1:07 of the game to hold of Franklin & Marshall 60-55 in a Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball game Tuesday night. Ursinus improved to 4-1 overall, 2-0 CC while the Diplomats fell to 2-3, 1-1.

F&M took its last lead of the game, 9-8, early in the first half behind a pair of layups from Colleen Bott and a three and layup from Megan Pauley. Ursinus ended the first half ahead 36-27.

The Diplomats chipped away at the lead in the second half getting within five points three times throughout the half. Bott's layup at 3:59 made it 52-47 but the Bears converted six of nine free throws to ice the contest.

Pauley led all scorers with 20 points for the Diplomats and added five rebounds with four assists. Bott and Allison Bauer each netted eight points for F&M while Bott grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Kristina McCarthy scored six points, with six rebounds, and Elizabeth Snyder chipped in with six.

Three players hit double digits for Ursinus with Sarah Martin and Kristy George scoring 16 and 15 points respectively. Lindsey Teuber turned in a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The Diplomats return to Centennial Conference action Saturday when the Diplomats travel to McDaniel for a 1 p.m. tip off.
