FREDERICK, Md.--Sophomore Dyanna Prater registered her first career double-double with team-highs of 15 points and 10 assists to spark the Hood College women's basketball team (4-0) to a 71-51 nonconference victory over the College of Notre Dame (Md.) Gators (1-3) Tuesday evening at the Odom Fitness Center at Fort Detrick.

Prater paced four Blazers in double figures as Hood remained undefeated on the season. The Blazers posted their most decisive win of the campaign and defeated their former AWCC rivals for the first time since 2006.

Hood opened up the contest with a 10-0 run and coasted to the 20-point victory. The Blazers shot .421 from the field, including drilling 5-of-10 from distance, in the opening stanza. Senior Kameran Evans made the most of her 10 first-half minutes by hitting 4-of-6 from the field including a pair of treys for 10 points.

Hood's lead ballooned to as many as 32 points in the second half when sophomore Emily Maerz buried her third three-pointer of the night at the 6:32 mark. Maerz finished with a career-high 13 points to go along with five boards and three assists.

Prater's 10 assists were also a career-best and capped a solid all-around game for the point guard, who picked off five steals and grabbed eight rebounds. Senior Allyson Lethbridge contributed 14 points, six boards, four assists and four steals; she is now eighth all-time in steals with 122.

First-year Kelsey Knippenberg knocked down a pair of shots, including a three, for a career-high five points. Sophomore Kristen Byers hauled in a season-best three caroms while first-year Briana White blocked two shots and chipped in four points. Sophomore Jessica Talley registered eight points and five boards while Courtney Jackson scored her first points in the blue and grey and grabbed two rebounds. Chasity Brittingham pulled down four rebounds, her best effort of the season.

CND's India Scott recorded a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.

Hood takes its perfect 4-0 record on the road Sunday when the Blazers square off against face the Shenandoah University Hornets Sunday at 6 p.m.
