BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team defeated Wilmington College in its regular season home finale in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 69-65 in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside of the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (10-13, 6-10 OAC)
- Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) led the way with a team-high 19 points along with six rebounds
- Sophomore forward Isaac Richardson (Avon Lake) tallied 14 points with eight rebounds and two steals
Wilmington Leaders (5-18, 3-13 OAC)
- Senior guard/forward Rashid Chisholm scored a team-high 18 points with four rebounds, two steals and one block
- Senior guard Obed Achirem notched 15 points with seven rebounds and three assists
First Half
- Wilmington outscored BW 26-25
- The Yellow Jackets tied the Quakers with two three-pointers
- Wilmington provided the most assists with three
Second Half
- The Brown and Gold outscored the Quakers 44-39
- BW had the most assists with 10
- The Yellow Jackets won the three-pointer battle by a 4-1 margin
BW is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 19 as it travels to Alliance for an OAC matchup against University of Mount Union. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Timken Gymnasium inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
