BW Men's Basketball Drops Road Game to Otterbein in OAC Action

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to Otterbein University in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 72-61 in the Rike Center.

BW Leaders (7-10, 3-7 OAC)

  • Junior guard Myles Reynolds (Cleveland / St. Edward) put up 14 points with two steals and one assist
  • Sophomore forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls / Stow-Munroe Falls) tallied 14 points while notching eight rebounds and two steals
  • Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) scored 11 points with four rebounds

Otterbein Leaders (10-7, 5-5 OAC)

  • Senior guard Cam Evans led the way with 21 points, four assists, four rebounds and two steals
  • Junior guard Julian Heckman scored 16 points with five rebounds and two assists

First Half

  • The Cardinals outscored the Yellow Jackets 32-26
  • BW won the three-pointer battle by a 2-1 margin
  • Otterbein provided the most assists with five

Second Half

  • Otterbein outscored the Brown and Gold 40-35
  • The Yellow Jackets scored the most three-pointers with six total
  • The Cardinals had the most assists with six

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 as they travel to Ohio Northern University for an OAC road contest. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the ONU Sports Center.
