Freshman wing Jake Lowman and junior wing Jessee Battle scored 5 points apiece during a 15-4 run that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay, and Lowman contributed 5 points to a later run that helped the Bishops hold on to the lead on the way to a North Coast Atlantic Conference win over 17th-ranked Wooster on Saturday at Branch Rickey Arena.

The Fighting Scots had taken an early 3-2 lead on a 3-pointer by Jaiden Cox-Holloway, but Ohio Wesleyan assembled a 9-2 run that included a 3-pointer and a lay-in by senior guard Henry Hinkle and a pair of buckets by Battle.

Wooster retook the lead when J.J. Cline split a pair of free throws with the score even at 21, but Battle countered with a 3-pointer and added a lay-in later to make it a 29-23 game.  After the Fighting Scots rallied to within 31-26 on a Nick Everett lay-in, Lowman knocked down a 3-pointer and added a pair of free throws to close out the 15-4 run and give Ohio Wesleyan a 36-26 lead at the intermission.

A dunk by Wooster's Isaiah Johnson brought the visitors within 41-35 early in the second half, but the Bishops answered with a 13-3 burst that included 3-pointers by fifth-year post Tony Carter and Hinkle before a lay-in and a 3-pointer from Loman, and a pair of free throws by senior wing David Rice put the Bishops up, 54-38, with 11:55 remaining.

The Fighting Scots rallied once more, getting a Jamir Billings 3-pointer during a 12-3 run that made it a 57-50 game, but in the span of just over a minute, Carter ended that run with a 3-pointer and freshman guard Quinn Hart followed with a 3-pointer for a 63-50 lead with 7:22 left, and the margin would remain in double digits for the remainder of the contest.

Hinkle led the Bishops with 22 points.  Battle finished with 16 and Lowman scored 10.  Junior guard Issac Ward and senior post Phil Wallace shared the team lead with 6 boards apiece, and Ward, Lowman, and Carter each contributed 3 assists.
