BW Men's Basketball Downed by Heidelberg Despite Second Half Surge

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to Heidelberg University in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 92-81 in the Seiberling Gymnasium.

BW Leaders (6-6, 2-3 OAC)

  • Junior guard Myles Reynolds (Cleveland / St. Edward) led the way with 28 points, nine rebounds and two assists
  • Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) put up 16 points while notching seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block
  • Sophomore guard Titus Baskerville IV (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) tallied 14 points with three assists and one steal

Heidelberg Leaders (8-4, 4-1 OAC)

  • Junior guard Elijah Harden scored 16 points with two assists and one steal
  • Senior forward Eric Panning notched 16 points with 13 rebounds, two steals and one block

First Half

  • Heidelberg outscored BW 48-34
  • The Yellow Jackets won the three-pointer battle by a 4-3 margin
  • The Student Princes provided the most assists with eight

Second Half

  • The Brown and Gold outscored Heidelberg 47-44
  • BW had the most assists with nine
  • The Yellow Jackets made the most three-pointers with six total

BW is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 11 as it remains on the road for an OAC contest against Wilmington College. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. inside of Fred Raizk Arena.
