Late Rally Not Enough as BW Men’s Basketball Falls to Muskingum in OAC Road Matchup

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 77-46 on the Performance Court inside of Anne C. Steele Center.

BW Leaders (4-4, 1-2 OAC)

  • Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) led the way with 10 points while notching seven rebounds, one assist and one steal
  • Sophomore forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls / Stow-Munroe Falls) put up eight points while grabbing six rebounds, making one block and one steal
  • Sophomore forward Isaac Richardson (Avon Lake) tallied eight points with four rebounds

Muskingum Leaders (5-4, 3-0 OAC)

  • Sophomore guard Duane Davis dominated for the Fighting Muskies with 18 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals
  • Junior guard Zaveon Croff notched 13 points with two rebounds and two steals

First Half

  • Muskingum outscored BW 38-14
  • The Fighting Muskies won the three-pointer battle by a 1-0 margin
  • Muskingum had the most assists with four

Second Half

  • The Yellow Jackets made the most three-pointers with three total

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 17 as they host La Roche (Pa.) University in a non-conference contest. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
