HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Freshman guard Peter Moye (Charlotte, NC) scored a career-high and game-high 17 points off the bench, including 15 in the first half, to lead nationally-ranked No. 9 Hampden-Sydney College to a 97-59 non-conference home win past William Peace (NC) University on Friday night in S. Junior transfer guard and team captain Colin Radcliffe (Richlands, NC) added 14 points off the bench, including 4-6 three-point field goals, and freshman forward John Campbell (High Point, NC) added a career-high 11 points off the bench, as well. The Tigers closed the first half on a 35-10 run to lead 53-27 at halftime and improved to 7-1 overall. Michael Dulin had 14 points for the visiting Pacers, who dropped to 1-6.
"Great energy from the team tonight, especially considering we are in the middle of exam week," said sixth-year head coach Caleb Kimbrough. "We had several different guys step-up and make plays. We need to build on this going into our next league game."
H-SC, ranked No. 9 in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25, started a little slow near the end of fall semester exams and fell behind 7-4 just 2:32 into the contest.
