(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team took home a huge win against 21st-ranked Middlebury College on Sunday, December 8 in the second game of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Challenge for both teams. The Tartans topped the Panthers, 80-75, after hitting a season-high 12 three-pointer to move to 7-1 for the year while the Panthers drop to 6-2.

  • Junior Buckley DeJardin scored nine of the team's first 20 points, including a dunk from his own steal that led the Tartans to a ten-point lead in the beginning of the first half.
  • Junior Justin Allen scored seven straight for the Tartans later in the half to push the Tartans to a 14-point advantage with 5:46 to go.
