Scarlet Hawks Fall to CUC In Early Season Conference Matchup

River Forest, Ill. - An early season Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) road game for Illinois Tech men's basketball was in the offing Tuesday night, as the Scarlet Hawks traveled to Concordia Chicago to take on the Cougars. Unfortunately for the Scarlet Hawks, it was too much of the Jacob Collicot show, as the Cougars senior guard had a 28-point outing to lead Concordia Chicago to an 85-68 victory. The Scarlet Hawks start NACC play 0-1, and fall to 0-3 overall. The Cougars start conference play 1-0 and even their overall record to 1-1.

The Scarlet Hawks would come back, however, as DeAndre Vortes made a pair of layups, and Myles Townsend sunk a hook shot at 10:41 to give the Hawks a 12-10 lead. Concordia Chicago would respond with a 9-2 run to take a 19-14 lead with 8:41 remaining.
