HOW IT HAPPENED

Hilbert never trailed in the game and led wire-to-wire despite a better second-half effort by Keuka, Hilbert's first-half explosion proved to be too much to overcome.

Hilbert opened the game by hitting 7-of-9 shots from the field which included a perfect 3-for-3 beyond the arc as they built a 13-4 lead just two and half minutes into play.

They continued to attack the rim the rest of the half and built a 24-14 margin in rebounds while scoring 30 points in the paint by intermission.  Hilbert caused the Storm major issues defensively as they converted 8-of-9 from the 3-point line (88.9%).

The Hawks offensive production cooled after the break as the royal and white hit 41.9% from the floor (4-of-8 3-point).  The Storm outscored Hilbert, 39-31, and they led with a 21-17 advantage on the boards.
