Clark Milestone Headlines Gwynedd Mercy's AEC Win over Cyclones

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (1/10/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (9-7, 2-1) used a late second-half surge to put Centenary University (N.J.) (2-14, 0-3) away in tonight's 97-80 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) victory. The Red and Gold run also allowed a long outlet from sophomore guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) to locate Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.) for a pull-up three with 3:09 to play; the long range bucket gave the Griffins a 90-71 lead and brought the senior guard the 1,000th point of his collegiate career. Afterwards, junior guard Aquil Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa.) and senior guard JoHaan Vinson (Philadelphia, Pa.) guided Gwynedd Mercy University to the 17-point win.
