Ravens Second Half Key to Victory Over Pioneers

The Anderson University men's basketball team's (10-3, 5-1) big second half earned a big win against Transylvania University (10-3, 5-1) by a score of 102-89 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Lexington, Ky.

Anderson's win enters the Ravens in a three-way tie for the HCAC lead with Transylvania and Hanover College (9-4, 5-1).

COACH CARTER COLLIN'S COMMENTS

What a whirlwind that game was. There were some areas that we left a whole lot to be desired in terms of our execution, but there were other areas we were lights-out. 28 assists on 33 made baskets is an incredible and awesome stat for us, and is indicative of how unselfishly we like to play. Ultimately, I thought that we battled the whole day, especially in the second half, and we made just enough plays to eek out a big road victory. Life doesn't get any easier for us with our next game at Manchester on Wednesday.
