Anchormen Edge Plymouth State, 63-62

Providence, R.I.--Sophomore guard Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.) finished with 17 points, while shooting 5-for-10 from three-point range, as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team took down Plymouth State, 63-62, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Over the course of the first 11 minutes, the Anchormen would shoot 5-for-9 from three-point range as Dahl and freshman guard CJ Wilson (Hartford, Conn) each knocked down a pair of deep shots.
 
• The Panthers would go on a 12-0 run over five minutes to take a 25-21 lead with 3:22 to go in the first half.
 
• Plymouth State held a 32-26 advantage at halftime.
 
• A layup by Wilson would kickstart an 11-2 run from the Anchormen to put the hosts up by eight, 47-39, with 11:59 remaining in the second half. RIC led by 10, 57-47, with just under four minutes left to play. It marked the largest lead of the day by either club.
 
• The Panthers would respond with a 10-2 run in just 1:22 to bring the RIC lead down to just a point, 61-60, with 1:56 left to play.
 
• Neither team had a time out to use over the final two minutes of play.
 
• A driving layup by Wilson with 1:08 left helped propel the hosts to the 63-62 win. The Anchormen dodged a bullet with 11 seconds remaining by turning the ball over. Plymouth State, however, was not able to get a shot off before the final horn sounded.
 
• Senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) recorded 15 rebounds, 12 points and six assists for his 11th double-double of the season.
