Dahl and Kourouma Leads RIC Past Bridgewater State, 85-72

Providence, R.I.--Sophomore guard Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.) shot 5-for-12 from beyond the three-point arc, scoring 17 points and grabbing five rebounds, as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team defeated Bridgewater State, 85-72, in the Anchormen's home opener played at The Murray Center on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After exchanging buckets over the first 10 minutes, the Anchormen would go on an 11-0 run, with Dahl scoring eight out of the 11, to go up by 10 points over the Bears.
 
• RIC would take the 10-point lead into the locker room, leading Bridgewater State, 41-31, after 20 minutes.
 
• The Anchormen would go on a 12-0 run early in the second half to increase their lead to 19.
 
• The rest of the game was riddled with fouls and free throws, the Bears would close the gap slightly, but were unable to complete the comeback, as RIC held on for its fifth win in '23-24.
 
• Senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) recorded his fifth double-double with 16 points and 10 blocks, while also tallying four blocks.
 
• Junior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) racked up 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
