Giants Advance to CSAC Finals Behind 44 Points from Flowers-Smith

LANGHORNE, Pa. - The fourth-seeded Keystone College men's basketball team advanced to the 2022-23 CSAC Championship with Wednesday's 95-88 win at top-seeded Cairn University.

Javen Flowers-Smith (Atlanta, Ga./Pembroke Pines Charter) exploded for a game-high 44 points, going a perfect 23-of-23 from the foul line, the most free throws made in single-game program history. The first year notched six rebounds and three assists.

This is Flowers-Smith's second 40+ performance this season, going off for 46 back on Feb. 11 at Bryn Athyn.

This is the program's first CSAC finals appearance since 2013 as the Giants will head to second seed Wilson College on Saturday in search of the team's first title.

The Phoenix earned a 91-68 win over three seed Rosemont earlier on Wednesday.

Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western) provided 22 points, going 4-of-6 from three, while Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards. Daivel Jackson (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) notched 13 points and eight rebounds.

For Cairn, Derian Bradford scored 27 points while Kameron Clark and Josh Forker combined for 29 points.

Keystone trailed 41-37 at intermission but outscored Cairn 58-47 in the second half, going on a 31-18 spurt.
