KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball lost to Nazareth College 91-63 on Tuesday night in an Empire 8 game at Keuka College.
Nazareth College (9-1, 3-0 Empire 8) entered the matchup ranked 20th in the most recent D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll.
Keuka College (5-3, 1-2 Empire 8) was led by Mason VanDeMortel (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) with 14 points. Will Tehan (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) added 13 off the bench and Devin Milton (Opelousas, La. / Beau Chene) finished with 12 points in the loss.
#20 Nazareth College 91 at Keuka College 63
Nazareth College jumped out to an early lead, but Mason VanDeMortel hit a pair of threes to keep the game close at 11-8. However, Nazareth would hold the Wolves off the board for the next five minutes and during that time, the Golden Flyers scored 16 points to build a 27-8 advantage. Devin Milton hit a three to snap the run. The teams traded points, but the visitors pushed their lead to 22 points with five minutes left in the half. The Wolves got the final bucket of the half as Camden Banks (Titusville, Fla. / Space Coast) made a jumper in the paint at the buzzer, but the Golden Flyers led 52-34 at the half.
The Golden Flyers continued to attack in the second half, scoring the first nine points of the frame, forcing the Wolves into a timeout. That did not deter the visitors as they scored seven more before Kobe Schriver (Hooper, Utah / Roy) made a three to end the run with Nazareth leading 68-37. Nazareth led by as many as 38 in the game as they continued on to defeat the Wolves 91-63 on Tuesday night.

- Keuka College is now 6-23 all-time against Nazareth College with the Golden Flyers winning the last eight meetings
- Tuesday was the 16th game against a ranked opponent in program history. Keuka College is 3-13 all-time with their last win coming against Stony Brook in November 1991
- Mason VanDeMortel knocked down four three-pointers for the Wolves. His 14 points tied his season-high
- Camden Banks set a new career high with nine points in the game
- Nazareth College had the advantage in the paint. The Golden Flyers were +38, 58-20, in points in the paint
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will continue their tough stretch of conference games to start 2023 on Saturday. The Wolves will host Utica University, who is also undefeated in the conference, at 4 p.m. at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
