The Baruch College Bearcats led from start to finish en route to a 94-66 CUNYAC quarterfinal home playoff win on Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats set the tone early jumping out in front 28-10 and finished shooting 49 percent (17-for-35 fg) in the first half for a 44-23 halftime lead. They held the visiting Cougars to just 25 percent shooting (8-for-32) in that first half, which included 4-for-19 from three.
The Bearcats again shot 49 percent (17-for-35 fg) during the second half for the comfortable win to advance to host a semifinal playoff on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against either York College or CCNY.
Jehmehl Fair was tops with 17 points and four assists, while Adnan Bajrami had 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Cameron Burns came off the bench to score 13 points.
Keison McIntosh led the Cougars 21 points.
