PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – Keystone men's basketball rebounded with a win over Valley Forge, 89-82, Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference play at The Pit at UVF.
Senior Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) set a career-high with 25 points, scoring 13 of them during a Giants' second-half 19-5 run to surge for the win.
The Patriots were able to whittle the lead down to just six points with under two minutes remaining, but Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembrokes Pine Charter) found Lacoste inside the paint for a reverse layup as UVF made just one of seven baskets to close out the game.
Keystone improved to 5-5 in the CSAC (7-12 overall) as Valley Forge fell to 2-9 CSAC, 5-12 overall.
For the moment, the Giants move to tied for third place with Cairn (5-5) and Saint Elizabeth following at 4-4.
Outstanding Performers
- Lacoste hit four 3-pointers and finished with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and went 5 for 5 at the free-throw line.
- Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembrokes Pine Charter) tallied his fifth-straight double-double going a nice 6 for 9 from the field for 12 points and 13 rebounds.
- Jack Anderson (Davie, Fla./Western High) finished with double-digit scoring for the 11th-consecutive game, putting in 23 points on four 3-pointers with eight rebounds and three assists.
- Dandre Butler led the Patriots with 20 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
- Derian Bradford also tallied a double-double for UVF with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

- Keystone trailed by two points at halftime but battled back for ties at 47, 49 and 51 points before outscoring Valley Forge, 19-5, over the next six and a half minutes on 7-for-11 shooting. UVF shot 2 of 9 during that span.

- Only Keystone College students and staff will be permitted to attend Saturday's contest. Masks must be worn at all times.
- The Giants will have a week off before playing at home again the following Saturday, Feb. 12 against Bryn Athyn (3-7 CSAC, 5-15 overall). All spectators will be welcome with masks worn at all times.
- Valley Forge will play at Wilson (10-0 CSAC, 14-5 overall) this Saturday.
