Just over five minutes had passed in the second half as Justin Tucker hit a pair of free throws and a jumper for the Garnet. Later in the second half, Visconti knocked down a pair of free throws to tie the game up at 45.
Visconti led the way with 16 points (four rebounds) for the Garnet, as Caprise contributed with 15 points and nine rebounds. Saturday's loss snaps a 35-game Centennial Conference regular season victory streak that the Garnet tied with a victory over Ursinus on Wednesday. Swarthmore's streak dated back to the 2018-19, which tied a record held by Franklin & Marshall College from 1993-96.
Swarthmore returns to the court on Thursday as they host Muhlenberg College at Tarble Pavilion. Spectators are not permitted to watch the game in person at Tarble Pavilion, but they can catch all the action with live video and live stats.
