Four Players Reach Double-Figures, Baruch Defeats John Jay to Go 5-0 in CUNYAC

The Baruch College Bearcats received balanced scoring this afternoon to defeat John Jay College (82-69) and improve to 5-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) regular season standings.

The Bearcats led by two (46-44) with 14:50 left in the second half, but went on a game-busting 15-4 run to build a 61-48 advantage with 7:04 remaining.

Jehmehl Fair scored seven of the 15 points in that run, while Mohamed Gueye contributed four points

Fair would later hit a three to help raise the lead to 14 points (69-55) for a comfortable advantage that was never threatened in the final minutes. 

Cameron Burns led four Bearcat players in double-figures with 14 points, which included 3-of-4 from three. He also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds this afternoon.

Adnan Bajrami (six assists) and Michael Richards (two steals) each had 13 points.

Fair finished with 12 to go along with three assists and three steals. 

The Bearcats shot 51.8 percent (29-for-56) and used strong defense to limit the Bloodhounds to 4-of-24 from three.

Joel-Anthony Alleyne was tops for the visitors with 16 points.
