Center Valley, PA (December 4, 2021) - The #25 DeSales University men's basketball team out-scored Arcadia, 40-28, in the second-half to stay unbeaten on the season in a 61-52 win over the Knights in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

  • The Bulldogs struggled shooting the ball in the first-half but kept themselves in the game on the defensive side of the ball.
  • DSU went 0-for-10 from outside the arc in the opening half but held Arcadia to just 28.6 percent shooting to trail by just three points at the halftime break.
  • The game was tied at 28 early in the second-half when DeSales went on an 11-3 run to take a 39-31 lead at the 12:55 mark.
  • The lead grew to 13 poits (53-40) before Arcadia went on a 10-2 spurt to get within five (55-50) with 3:35 to go.
  • The Bulldogs went up seven after hitting 1-of-2 freebies over the next two possessions and junior Will Bowen sealed the win with a lay-up with 1:30 left giving DSU a 59-50 lead.

  • Bowen was outstanding off the bench scoring a game-high 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds, shooting 7-for-9 from the field.
  • Sophomore Ryan Boylan had eight points and 12 rebounds in the win and junior Keba Mitchell had four blocks.

For the Foes

  • Samuel Majekodunmi and Justin Money each had 16 points to lead the Knights.
  • Nas Johnson finished with 10 tallies.
