LISLE, IL - Nick Kosich fell just shy of a triple-double as the Benedictine University men's basketball team opened conference play with a win over Dominican.

Marvin Agwomoh pounded home a dunk just over five minutes into the half to provide momentum after a back-and-forth start
Trevor Montiel converted on a jumper to put Benedictine ahead 10-9 with 14:03 to go in the half and Benedictine did not trail again
Cade Ellingson capped a 10-0 run with a jumper in the paint as Benedictine led 22-11 at the 7:38 mark
Kosich knocked down a three with 3:41 left to make the score 31-13 and furthered the lead with another three moments later
Agwomoh laid in a second chance basket to stretch the lead to 36-15
Benedictine led 39-21 at the break
Montiel kicked off a 17-0 run with a three to put the game out of reach as Benedictine built their largest lead at 76-37 with under three minutes left
