Stevens Defeats Baruch in Non-Conference Action

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 83-75 to the Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday night in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Ducks from the MAC Freedom Conference led from the start and managed to build a 45-34 halftime advantage.

The lead would later grow to 58-41 with 12:57 left, but the visiting Bearcats slowly chipped away getting as close as 67-62 on a three-point play by Mohamed Gueye.

The Ducks scored nine of the next 12 points to build their advantage back up to 76-65 with 2:35 left.

Liam Sanborn hit a three and Adnan Bajrami scored a layup to keep it close again at 79-73, but four free throws by the Ducks in the final minute helped them clinch the 83-75 victory.

Bajrami led the Bearcats with 19 points, six rebounds and five steals. Sanborn, the CUNYAC Player of the Week, finished with 17 points and Sean Donnellan had 10 points.

The Bearcats shot 40 percent (28-for-70) and scored 25 points off 18 Ducks' turnovers.

Alec DiPietrantonio was tops for the opponent with 19 points and 20 rebounds.
