DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Senior Marcus Azor finished with a 24 point, 12 assist, 10 rebound triple-double to lead the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's basketball team to a 91-72 victory over No. 11 Tufts University Tuesday night at the Tripp Athletic Center.

Junior Jackson Zancan put together 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point land, while senior Adam Seablom had 12 points, five boards and three assists, and graduate student Jake Ashworth tallied 12 points with four rebounds and three assists. The Corsairs' bench played a major role. Sophomore Mike Eurquhart recorded six points, seven boards and four blocked shots, while sophomore Isaac Perry had five points and five rebounds, and 5th-year senior Jarron Santos registered four key assists.

The Corsairs were 11-of-12 (91.7%) from the free throw line, shot 37-of-76 (48.7%) from the field, and only turned the ball over six times. The 5-0 record for UMass Dartmouth marks the best start for the program since the 2007-08 team that finished 25-4 and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Three players were in double figures for the Jumbos (0-1), led by junior Tyler Aronson's 15 points and five rebounds. UMassD held to Tufts to 5-of-21 (23.8%) from beyond the arc.

Zancan canned a triple right out of the gate and scored a two moments later. Layups by Ashworth, Azor senior Sean Leahy and kept it going as the Corsairs jumped out to an early 11-4 lead at the 16:51 mark of the first half. Defense led to offense with a steal and score by Seablom, and an Eurquhart block led to a fastbreak bucket from Ashworth. Santos then hit a jumper, but Tufts hung around and would eventually take a 21-19 advantage after an and-1 with 9:56 on the clock.

The Jumbos clung to a slim margin and took a five-point lead after a transition layup put them ahead, 26-21, with 8:53 left in the half. A Seablom jumper, and six consecutive Corsair points from Ashworth put UMass Dartmouth back on top, 32-28. Three-straight buckets by Seablom, Azor and Leahy, followed by a triple from Zancan sent the home team into the locker room ahead, 50-39.

UMass Dartmouth opened the second half on a 16-3 run, with all of its baskets coming in the paint, to go ahead, 65-45, with 16:11 to go. Tufts made things interesting. The Jumbos came as close as eight points after going on an 18-6 run to close the gap to 71-63 with 10:09 remaining in regulation.

The Corsairs weren't having it, as Percy scored in the paint and Zancan nailed a 3-ball. Junior John Martins Jr. and Percy then sunk back-to-back triples and Eurquhart slammed one home from Azor to extend the lead to 88-67 with 3:25 to go and seal the deal.

UMass Dartmouth begins a stretch of six-straight road games beginning with Westfield State on Thursday at 7 p.m.
