ANGOLA, IN - The Benedictine University men's basketball team continued a tough schedule by facing #7 Trine on the road, dropping a back-and-forth affair.

THE DETAILS
- Trine opened a seven-point lead early in the contest before Benedictine came storming back
- Trevor Montiel tied the game at 13-13 with a layup at the 11:21 mark of the first and Michael Johnson put Benedictine ahead just over a minute later
- Nick Kosich knocked down a three-pointer and Marvin Agwomoh added a pair of free throws as Benedictine moved in front 20-15 with 8:04 left in the half
- Kosich made a three just before the half as Benedictine trailed 27-25 at the break
- Trine used a 15-0 run to move ahead 44-32 just over five minutes into the second
- Benedictine immediately answered with back-to-back threes from Zach Derus and Jeff Kratz
- Montiel scored five points and Derus added a three in an 8-0 run that brought Benedictine within 47-46 at the halfway point before the hosts again built an eight-point edge
- Benedictine pulled within two at 59-57 on a three from Kosich with just inside five minutes left but Trine extended the lead to nine and held off a late push from Benedictine
- The game featured nine ties and six lead changes
STAT LEADERS
- Benedictine shot 50 percent in the second half and converted on eight-of-11 threes in the half but finished the game shooting 43.6 percent while holding a 33-31 edge on the glass
- Kosich led three players in double figures with 14 points, making four three-pointers
- Montiel tallied 13 to go with nine boards while Agwomoh finished with 12 points and nine boards
