WINCHESTER, Va. – Sophomore Josh Talbert (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) had his first collegiate double-double with 14 points and a career-best 14 rebounds as the top-ranked Randolph-Macon men's basketball team won 102-51 at Shenandoah in an ODAC contest on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened:
- Senior David Funderburg (Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford) had a pair of layups to start the scoring for the Yellow Jackets, the second giving R-MC the lead for good. Talbert had a three-pointer and a layup, and a triple by junior Ian Robertson (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) gave R-MC a 12-3 lead four minutes into the contest. The Hornets pulled within four before a jumper by senior Buzz Anthony (Arnold, Md./Archbishop Spalding) ended the run, giving the Yellow Jackets a 14-8 lead with 13:10 remaining. The visitors had a seven-point lead midway through the half at 19-12 before closing on a 37-8 run to lead 56-20 at the break. Freshman Lance Johnson (South Riding, Va./Freedom) hit a triple at the buzzer to cap the spree. Anthony had 14 first-half points, going 5 for 9 from the floor and 4 for 6 on treys.
- A jumper by Anthony extended the lead to 40 at 62-22 two minutes into the second half. A three-pointer by junior Daquan Morris (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill School) with 12:45 remaining gave the Yellow Jackets a 50-point advantage at 78-28. A jumper by sophomore Noah Lindsay (Moseley, Va./Benedictine) gave R-MC its largest lead of 53 at 99-46 with 1:40 left before claiming the 102-51 victory.
By The Numbers:
- R-MC had 13 different players score, including four in double figures. Anthony had 20 points, Talbert tallied 14, Robertson added 12 and Funderburg finished with 11.
- The Yellow Jackets shot 53% from the floor (40-76) and 44% on treys (14-32).
- R-MC had a 54-31 advantage on the boards. Along with 14 by Talbert, Anthony grabbed six and Robertson corralled five.
- Freshman Will Paige (Leesburg, Va./Paul VI) paced the victors with five assists.
- Talbert and Anthony each had three steals.

- R-MC has won eight straight against Shenandoah and is 21-2 all-time against the Hornets.
- Anthony has 1,302 career points, moving past Paul Feeley and Carl Koenig into 21st place on R-MC all-time scoring list.
- Anthony has 517 career assists, good for third place in program history.
- Anthony has 173 career steals, passing Paul Gartlan for fifth place.
