GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Corey Bays (Bel Air, Md./CM Wright) scored 14 points and hit four three-pointers for the second straight game as the second-ranked Randolph-Macon men's basketball team dropped a 63-54 decision at Guilford on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
- Bays nailed a three-pointer to start the scoring. A pair of treys by sophomore Ian Robertson (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) gave the Yellow Jackets a 15-9 lead with 12:30 left in the first half. The Quakers used a 12-2 run to take a 21-17 lead with six minutes remaining. A jumper by freshman Miles Mallory (Beltsville, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) halted the spurt and made it a two-point contest. A 9-5 run gave GC a 30-22 lead before senior Korey Turner (Midlothian, Va./Amelia Academy) hit a jumper with 40 seconds left to make it 30-24 at intermission.
- The Quakers extended the lead to 10 at 39-29 before a three-pointer by freshman Josh Talbert (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) made it 39-32 with 13:40 remaining. The home team pushed the advantage to 15 at 53-38 before three treys by Bays made it a six-point game at 53-47 with five minutes left. GC made eight free throws over the final 1:30 to secure the 63-54 win.
By The Numbers:
- R-MC had two score in double figures. Along with 14 by Bays, Mallory finished with 10.
- Robertson led the Yellow Jackets with five rebounds.
- Junior Buzz Anthony (Arnold, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had six assists and five steals.

- The Yellow Jackets had their 11-game win streak snapped.
- Anthony has 156 career steals and moved up to No. 6 on R-MC's career list.
