MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University men's basketball team came from behind in the second half to force overtime but lost on a shot just before the buzzer as an eight-game win streak came to a close.

Benedictine played from behind for most of the game, falling behind 4-0 early
Benedictine was able to score the next five points on baskets from Kenny Bogus, Kyle Graebner and an Eric Grygo free throw to take their only lead of the half
MSOE countered with the next five points to lead 9-5
With the contest tied at 14-14, MSOE used a 10-0 run to take a 24-14 lead and led by 13 before Benedictine closed the half on a 5-0 run, heading to the break down 29-21 following a three from Marques Barnes just before the halftime buzzer
Two free throws from Kyle Graebner brought Benedictine within 33-30 five minutes into the second half
Nick Kosich nailed a three moments later to draw Benedictine within 34-33
Benedictine tied the game twice before the halfway point of the frame but again found themselves trailing by seven at 50-43 with just over nine minutes to play
Keegan Graebner scored the first five points of a 9-0 run that saw Benedictine lead 52-50 on a layup from Kyle Graebner with 6:16 left
The hosts held a 59-55 edge with under 90 seconds to go but four free throws from Bogus helped Benedictine force overtime
MSOE had the ball with 11 seconds left but missed on a winning attempt at the end of regulation
Benedictine was just 1-of-4 from the free throw line in overtime, missing a pair of attempts with 12 seconds left while holding a 64-63 edge
MSOE won the game on a baseline pull-up with two seconds left

Benedictine finished just 18-for-32 (56.3%) from the free throw line and were just 4-for-19 from three-point range
Grygo finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds in logging a double-double, his ninth of the season
Bogus and Keegan Graebner both notched 11 while Kyle Graebner pitched in with 10
The starting lineup scored all but 11 points in the first overtime game of the season

Benedictine (18-4, 14-3 NACC) missed a chance to take over sole possession of first place as Wisconsin Lutheran lost. The two teams remain even atop the conference with three games remaining including a game against each other at Benedictine next week. Benedictine travels to Lakeland on Saturday afternoon.
