CAZENOVIA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat hosts Cazenovia College 85-83 on Wednesday.

For the first time in over a year, Keuka College (4-13, 3-7 NEAC) had all five starters reach double figures in scoring. The Wolves were led by Nolan Ivey (Upperville, Va. / Middleburg Academy) with a double-double, posting career-highs with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Keuka College got out to their fastest start of the season. On the first possession, Alex Medellin (Gilbert, Ariz. / Desert Ridge) hit a three and was fouled. Medellin sank the free throw for the four-point play. Keuka College would score the first 10 points of the game before the Wildcats scored. Despite the early advantage, Cazenovia erased the lead with a three six minutes into the game to make it 14-14. Cazenovia would take the lead at 19-18 and lead the remainder of the half. The Wildcats built their lead to 11 and led 50-39 at the half.

The Wolves opened the second on a 10-2 run as Keuka looked to instantly erase the deficit. A three by Nana Oteng (Queens, N.Y. / Martin Luther) tied the game at 59-59 with 9:27 left to play. Cazenovia quickly regained the advantage and extended it out to 66-59, but the Wolves would not go away. Cazenovia had the lead until Devin Milton (Opelousas, La. / Beau Chene) drained a three with 2:07 left to give Keuka a 79-78 lead. Free throws by Medellin with 15 seconds left pushed the Wolves advantage to four, 84-80. On the next possession, Cazenovia made a layup and was fouled. Following the free throw, it was a one-point game. Keuka would go one of two from the line, making it 85-83. Cazenovia called a timeout with two seconds left. They got the ball in and put up a half-court shot but it was off as Keuka College earned the North Eastern Athletic Conference victory.

• Keuka College improves to 29-24 all-time against Cazenovia
• The trend continues for the Wolves and the Wildcats as the two teams have split the regular season series in each of the last three seasons
• To go along with Ivey's career-best 21 points, James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) scored 17, Nana Oteng and Devin Milton each had 14, and Alex Medellin added 12 in the win
• James Barnes had his streak of four straight games with 20+ points snapped, however the junior did surpass his previous season-best in scoring. Barnes now has 285 points this season
• Barnes also moved into seventh on the career free throws list and eighth on the single-season free throws list
• It was the first career double-double for Nolan Ivey and second of the season for Keuka College

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will remain on the road at Wells College on Saturday. Keuka College will look to sweep the season series against the Express as the Wolves won 102-81 on their home floor earlier this season.
