The two teams traded baskets early in the first half. After his career-best performance on Wednesday, Alex Medellin (Gilbert, Ariz. / Desert Ridge) hit a three to give the Wolves a 9-8 lead five minutes into the contest. That sparked a 9-0 run for the Wolves as Keuka extended their lead. Nolan Ivey (Upperville, Va. / Middleburg Academy) setup James Barnes under the basket midway through the half for a layup as the Wolves extended the lead to double-digits. The Fighting Tigers kept the game within reach and regained the lead with a minute left in the half. SUNY Cobleskill led 32-29 at the half.

SUNY Cobleskill came out fast in the second, scoring the first nine of the frame before Barnes made a put-back layup for the Wolves. A pair of quick threes by the Fighting Tigers pushed the Cobleskill advantage into double figures. Keuka called a timeout to break the momentum with 13:53 left in the half as SUNY Cobleskill opened the second on a 19-2 run. In the ensuing possession, Nana Oteng (Queens, N.Y. / Martin Luther) hit a three as the Wolves fought to stay in the game. Every time the Wolves attempted to make a run, the Fighting Tigers would answer with transition baskets to extend their lead. SUNY Cobleskill would go onto the 86-56 victory.
