• Eric Grygo opened the game with a layup and Nick Kosich and Kenny Bogus both hit three-pointers as Benedictine built an 8-0 lead early in the first half
• Bogus knocked down another three with 14:54 left in the half as Benedictine led 14-2
• Benedictine would lead by as many as 16 in the half, but Marian trimmed the margin to seven before Benedictine notched the final five points of the half to lead 38-26 at the break
• The hosts opened the second half with an 8-2 run, pulling within 40-34 two minutes into the session
• Benedictine responded with five in a row to move in front by double figures again
• Grygo punctuated the start of a 10-0 run with a dunk as Benedictine opened a 55-37 lead and did not look back
