SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's basketball team used a 10-of-12 performance from the field in the final 11:33 of the contest to defeat Rhodes, 75-66, Friday night from Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers trailed 7-6 at the 16:35 mark in the first half, and that sparked a huge run for Sewanee. The hosts sparked a 20-3 run in about seven minutes to lead 27-9 before Rhodes is forced to take a timeout.
-Sewanee shot 56.5% (13-of-23) from the field and led 34-20 at the break.
-Rhodes came out strong to cut the 18-point deficit to tie the game at 39 points apiece at the 11:49 mark, but the Tigers finished the contest on a 10-of-12 performance from the floor from the under-12 media timeout to the end of the game.
-Tied at 49 at the 7:49 mark, Sewanee put the contest away with a 13-3 run to lead by 10 points, 62-52, with less than three minutes left in the game.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Adrian Thomas led the Tigers with a game-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Adding four rebounds, the senior needs one more board for 500 in his career.
-Ryan Starr added 15 points, while Joey Knox totaled 10 points.
-Sewanee recorded 10 steals in the game, led by Sean McDonough with four.
RHODES KEY STATISTICS
-Koki Wiley led the Lynx with 19 points and added six rebounds and five dimes.
-Jalen Essick added 13 points, while Mac James contributed 12 points off the bench.
