GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy pulled away from Marymount to notch their fifth win in a row in a 78-61 Atlantic East Conference win over the Saints on Saturday.

Rich Dunham led the scoring, registering a game-high 23 points with a team-high six rebounds and four assists. The senior was also a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line to boot. Matt Carter hit four of the team's seven three pointers off the bench to add a season-high 12 points. The Griffins controlled the glass, outrebounding Marymount, 41-25, led by Donaven Spencer's career-best 12 boards.

Things did not get off to a good start as the Saints opened the contest on a 9-0 run but the Griffins roared back with a run of their own. A three from Matt Carter was the capper on a 13-3 spurt to put Gwynedd on top for the first time. From there, the teams traded the lead nine times before Dunham's bucket with seconds to play in the first gave the team a 29-28 lead at the break.

The Saints kept things close until back-to-back-to-back three's from Dunham, Spencer, and Carter, the latter coming with just under six minutes to go, gave Gwynedd a double-digit lead they did not relinquish.

Steve Etienne paced the Saints with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Ladarius McCord kicked in 16 points and five dimes off the bench.

Gwynedd Mercy will host Neumann on Wednesday in Atlantic East action starting at 8 p.m.
