JACKSON, Miss. - The Sewanee men's basketball team was unable to keep pace with the Majors of Millsaps College on Friday night from the Hangar Dome, falling 80-72.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Trailing 13-10 with 12:27 left in the opening half, the Tigers went on a big run, started by back-to-back 3-point field goals by Jordan Warlick. The team went on a 6-0 run to lead 19-13 in nearly 90 seconds.
-Later in the half, the Majors reclaimed the lead, 22-21, but the Tigers rallied to tie the contest at 35 at the break.
-After a Joey Knox jumper with 17:37 left in the contest to give Sewanee a slight 39-38 advantage, the home team went a massive run, scoring 20 of the next 22 points to lead 58-41 with 11 minutes remaining.
-The Tigers were able to cut the deficit back to single digits late in the contest, but the Majors prevailed to earn their seventh win in a row.
-The contest saw six ties and lead changes each, but most of the changes came in the first half.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Jordan Warlick recorded his second career 20+-point performance with a game-high 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting, adding five rebounds and three assists.
-Ryan Starr posted a 7-of-18 mark from the field to finish with 18 points. Additionally, the sophomore added eight boards.
-Joey Knox totaled 10 points to wrap up the Tigers in double figures.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Off the bench, Justin Van Pelt posted a double-double with 13 rebounds and 12 points, adding five blocks.
-Kaleb Jenkins led the Majors with 17 points.
