The Baruch College Bearcats lost their second game at the Naples Shootout, 82-75, to Hamline University on Monday morning at the Community School of Naples in Florida.

The two teams played a competitive first half with the Bearcats owning a narrow 42-40 lead at the break, but the Pipers broke open the contest at the start of the second half by scoring the first nine points on three consecutive 3-pointers for a 49-42 advantage at 17:24.

That big start proved pivotal as the Bearcats could only get as close as four points on five different occasions and found themselves down late in the contest by 14 points in the tough loss.

The bench today contributed 36 points, compared to the Pipers' bench scoring only 17.

They shot 53 percent (16-for-30) in the first half but only 39 percent (11-or-28) in the second.

Adnan Bajrami led the Bearcats with 19 points and Jehmehl Fair had a career-high 14 off the bench.

Luke Siwek led the Pipers from St. Paul, Minnesota and the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with 21 points.

The Bearcats will return home and get ready to resume their CUNYAC schedule on Saturday, January 4, with a 2:00 p.m. contest at CCNY.
