Gwynedd Mercy Men Shoot Past Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, PA. -- Nine first-half three-pointers helped Gwynedd Mercy open up a big halftime lead to go on and win at Lebanon Valley, 77-57, on Saturday.

The Griffins hit six triples in the final 5:05 of the first half to turn a four-point lead into a 43-27 edge at the break. The team totaled 11 treys for the game.

Jeff Seigafuse (14 points), Somah Slewion (13 points) and Donaven Spencer (10 points) all finished in double figures. Seigafuse, Slewion, Rich Dunham, Matt Carter, and Myles Bunyon each had two trifectas with David West adding his first collegiate three as well.

Gwynedd, who shot over 50% in that first half, limited the Dutchmen to just 7-of-27 in the first 20 minutes. Up 24-21, Bunyon started the three-pointer party as the team hit their next six shots in a row, all threes, to help pull away from Lebanon Valley.

The second half saw GMercyU keep their double-digit lead throughout.

Jeremy Deihm scored a team-high 12 points for the Dutchmen.

The team plays on Tuesday night when they host York College here at The Griffin Complex in a 7 p.m. start.
