ATLANTA - Four Sewanee men's basketball players reached double figures in Wednesday's game at No. 6 Emory, but the Eagles were too much for the Tigers. Emory defeated Sewanee, 94-70, from the Woodruff P.E. Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers got out to an early 5-0 lead after Joey Knox drained a jumper and a 3-point field goal.
-The Eagles, who have been dominant at home in recent years, took over eight minutes into the game. Emory went on a 21-2 run in about a seven-minute span to lead 36-15.
-Emory, who recorded five turnovers in the contest and had 21 rebounds that converted to 25 second-chance points, cruised to a 54-25 lead at the break.
-The Eagles are ranked sixth in the country according to the D3hoops.Com preseason poll.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Four Tigers recorded double-digit figures in points, led by Jordan Warlick with 18 points.
-Ryan Starr added 16 points and seven assists, while Joey Knox contributed 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
-Adrian Thomas dropped 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting and five boards.
EMORY KEY STATISTICS
-Romin Williams led the Eagles with 22 points with four rebounds.
-Matt Davet scored 18 points, while Lawrence Rowley recorded 12 points and nine boards.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will look to bounce back at home for the start of a four-game homestand beginning on Saturday versus Belhaven. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. from Juhan Gymnasium.
