Games to Watch
Elmira vs. Keystone – Friday, November 15 (5:30 p.m.)
The Soaring Eagles open the campaign by hosting the EC Tip-off Tournament in Speidel Gymnasium as part of the 38th annual Elmira College Athletics Alumni Weekend. Elmira gets its first taste of action against the Giants of Keystone, who struggled through a tough season in 2017-18. A season-opening victory would set the tone for EC while putting the Purple and Gold in prime position to secure hardware on their home floor in the second round of the two-day affair.
Elmira vs. Hartwick – Saturday, January 4 (2:00 p.m.)
Elmira begins the New Year with its first foray into Empire 8 play against Hartwick. The Soaring Eagles dropped two tightly contested battles to their feathered foe last season and will be out for revenge to open the 2020 portion of their schedule. An early win over the Hawks could prove crucial later in the season as Elmira looks to return to the postseason.
Elmira vs. St. John Fisher – Saturday, February 8 (2:00 p.m.)
The Purple and Gold welcome the Cardinals for their final home game of the season. The contest marks the beginning of the final stretch of the regular season and EC will aim to have a strong showing in front of the Elmira faithful. St. John Fisher has gotten the better of the Soaring Eagles as of late, but an upset victory over a Cardinals squad that reached the E8 title game last season would provide serious momentum heading into EC's final three games on the road.
