Senior Michael Hannon sank five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead an efficient day for the No. 5-ranked Tommie Men's Basketball team in Saturday's 108-58 road victory at Hamline.

The Tommies (19-1 overall, 15-0 MIAC) ran their Division III-leading win streak to 19 games. They kept their three-game lead on second-place St. John's with five games to go in the MIAC regular season.

St. Thomas shot 74 percent from the field in the first half. After trailing early 13-8, the Toms used a 46-9 run over the last 10:40 to lead 63-25 at the break. They scored on 14 of their last 16 possesions of the first half, with several long-range baskets.

On the game, they had only five turnovers, shot 56 percent from the floor, and received 55 bench points.

Nine different Tommies made at least one trey as the team sank 18-of-40 from 3-point range. In their 11-0 run since Christmas break, the Toms are averaging 12 made treys a game.

St. Thomas dressed 15 players, 14 of them scored, and none played more than 18 minutes.

Freshman guard Anders Nelson had 16 points, five assists and four rebounds.

The Toms play Monday night at Gustavus and Wednesday night at St. Olaf.

The four St. Thomas hockey and basketball teams capped an 8-0 week and improved to 34-0-4 since the holiday break. All four teams have double-digit win or unbeaten streaks. The four teams are a combined 48-1-6 in MIAC play with two weeks left in the regular season.
