BREVARD, N.C. - LaGrange ran its win streak to six games with a 83-48 rout of USA South foe Brevard on Saturday. The Panthers are now 12-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play.

"We had a slow start in the first half. We didn't shoot it well and did not rebound offensively," said Coach Kendal Wallace. "The run right before halftime pus us in a good position for the second half. After halftime we picked up our speed and were able to convert in transition. Really happy that all of our guys were able to get in the game and even better, they all contributed."

LC had a balanced scoring attack with four players in double figures. Julian Cameron had a game-high 16 points, 13 in the second half. Elijah Adedoyin and Jamison McCray each had 12 points and Travis Thompson with 11.

Brevard (4-12, 1-8 USA South) trailed 23-19 with 6:15 left in the first half. McCray's two free throws started a 26-0 run for the Panthers over the final five minutes of the first half and the first five of the second half. LC led by as many as 38 points in the second half.

The Panthers shot 64.5 percent in the second half, finishing the game at 57.4 percent. They held the Tornados to 29.6 percent shooting in the game.

The Panthers play at Huntingdon in a USA South game Wednesday.
