THE DETAILS
• Most of the contest was very close, although Edgewood led for a bulk of the game
• The largest lead of the back and forth first was six points after Edgewood made back-to-back three-pointers to break a 29-29 tie and lead 35-29 with 1:08 to play in the half
• Benedictine scored the final five points of the half to pull within 35-34 at the break despite Edgewood shooting 60 percent from three-point land
• Eric Grygo scored the first points of the second half with a jumper to give Benedictine a momentary 36-35 lead
• Benedictine last led 40-38 on a jumper from Kyle Graebner with 16:37 remaining
• Edgewood countered every run with a longer one, using a 9-0 run to break a 45-45 deadlock and lead 54-45
• The visitors went up double figures with three minutes to go and led by as many as 15
STAT LEADERS
• Edgewood shot 50 percent for the game and held a 33-31 edge on the glass
• Grygo led three players in double figures with 15, adding nine rebounds
• Bryan Jakobsze tallied 14 points and Kenny Bogus finished with 11 as Benedictine shot 45.8 percent from the floor
