TACOMA, WA - Five players scored in double figures as the Benedictine University men's basketball team opened a trip to the northwest with a victory over the University of Puget Sound, making head coach Keith Bunkenburg the program's all-time leader in wins.

• The hosts built an eight-point lead at 13-5 early in the contest before Benedictine started to heat up from the field
• Still trailing by nine points with 13:10 left in the first half, Benedictine tied the game with an 11-2 run
• Bryan Jakobsze opened the run with a jumper and two free throws from Kenny Bogus tied the game at 21-21 with 10:09 remaining in the first
• Puget Sound pulled ahead again by six points before a 7-0 run finished on a free throw from Eric Grygo put Benedictine ahead at 30-29
• Benedictine kept scoring and led 46-43 at the half
• A three-point play from Grygo opened the second half and Kyle Graebner followed with a triple before a Michael Johnson layup enabled Benedictine to score eight straight points in the first 1:15 of the second, opening a double-digit lead at 54-43
• Puget Sound pulled within five on several occasions, but the shots kept dropping for Benedictine, who shot 79 percent in the second half and led by double digits for most of the frame
• The win marked the 386th in the career of head coach Keith Bunkenburg, passing Tony LaScala for the most victories in program history

• Benedictine finished the game shooting 67.3 percent from the field and finished 11-for-15 from beyond the arc (73.3%)
• Benedictine held a 28-24 edge on the glass and tallied 24 assists on 35 field goals
• Grygo finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, knocking down 7-of-10 field goals
• Carl Singletary, Jr. added 17 points as the bench scored 43
• Bogus flirted with a triple-double, scoring 16 points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists
• Johnson scored 14 and Graebner 12
