PLYMOUTH, WI - The Benedictine University men's basketball team was edged on the road by Lakeland University i a back-and-forth affair on Saturday afternoon

THE DETAILS
Benedictine was able to lead for most of the first half, though neither team held larger than a four-point edge
Bryan Jakobsze drained a three-pointer with 1:18 left in the half as Benedictine went into the break leading 46-43
Lakeland quickly tied the game to begin the second half and went on to lead by six points midway through the half
Benedictine came back to even the score three times, the latest of which came on a pair of free throws from Eric Grygo with 5:53 left
The hosts again led by six with under two minutes to go
Michael Johnson, making his first appearance of the season, scored three consecutive points to draw Benedictine within 87-86 with 34 seconds remaining
Lakeland knocked down three free throws in the final moments and came down with a key offensive rebound
