The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the rosters for the 2018 Reese's Division III College All-Star game, which will be played as part of the 2018 NCAA® Division III Men's Basketball Championship.

The Reese's Division III College All-Star game will be played on Saturday, March 17, at 3:30 p.m. (EDT), prior to the NCAA Division III championship game at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va.  The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III with two additional seniors have been selected by online voting on D3hoops.com and two others via at-large selections.

Baruch College and the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) will be well represented with senior forward Chimaechi Ekekeugbor becoming the second Bearcat ever to play in the prestigious national all-star game (previously Granville Gittens 2015).

"This is a fitting end to Chima's career at Baruch," said Head Coach John Alesi. "He long ago established himself as one of the top players in the nation and it is a deserved honor for him to be selected to the Reese's All-Star Game. I am extremely proud of him!"

Nicknamed Chima, he averaged 18.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.0 asssists per game during the recently concluded 2017-18 season. He was also voted the 2017-18 CUNYAC MVP.

He ended the season with a career-high 37 points, which enabled him to become the first Baruch player and only second player in CUNYAC history to score at least 2,000 career points.

"I'm honored and humbled to be named to the NABC All-Star game," said Ekekeugbor. "I didn't expect this at the beginning of the season, but I am blessed and hard work always pays off."

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas.  Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game.  The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.  All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes.  The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service and education.  Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found at www.nabc.org.
