WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team earned a 77-73 road overtime victory against Penn College on Wednesday evening.

With the victory, Keuka College has clinched a place in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament. The Wolves will be the third seed in the North Division with the full playoff schedule being released this weekend.

Keuka College (11-11, 9-6 NEAC) had all five starters score in double figures, led by freshman James Barnes (Rochester, N.Y. / University Prep) with 15 points. Dylan Doupe (Phoenix, N.Y. / John C. Birdlebough) and Greg Tyler (Edgewater, Md. / Southern) each scored 14 points for the Wolves. Round out the scoring was 13 points for Trevor Powell (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn) and 12 points by Cliff Stevens (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa).

Keuka College 77 at Penn College 73 - OT

Keuka College took an early lead over Penn College on Wednesday. The Wolves played from ahead the entire first half. Midway through the first, the Wolves put together a 6-0 run, capped by a David Oliveras (Great Mills, Md. / Great Mills) layup, to take a nine-point lead, the largest of the game. The Wildcats cut into the Keuka advantage to close the half, but the Wolves remained ahead, 36-34, at the break.

Penn College took the lead in the opening minutes of the second half, but the Wolves had an answer. Keuka College scored 10 unanswered points, with Barnes contributing six of those, to take a 49-42 lead with 14 minutes left to play. Penn College would use a run of their own and take a 66-62 lead going into the final minute. Cliff Stevens went a perfect 2-2 from the line with 53 seconds to go to cut the lead to two. Following a defensive shot, James Barnes grabbed an offensive rebound for Keuka and was fouled. He too went a perfect 2-2 from the line with nine seconds left to tie the game, forcing overtime.

Greg Tyler opened the overtime period with a three for the Wolves. Penn answered and took the lead, but another Greg Tyler three with 33 seconds left gave Keuka the lead back at 75-73. Tyler would steal the ball on the ensuing possession and Cliff Stevens was fouled. He secured the victory with a pair of free throws as Keuka College defeated Penn College 77-73.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will close the regular season at home on Saturday against Cazenovia College. Keuka College used a big second half to defeat the Wildcats 91-81 in Cazenovia earlier this season.
