PITTSFORD, NY – Host St. John Fisher jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back in a 93-73 win over Hartwick's men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Wanzer Court.
Kevin Townes (Lagrangeville, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) led the Hawks with a game-high 19 points. Corey Baker (Granby, MA/Granby) added 15 points and Brandon LaForest (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) contributed 11.
The Hawks shot 34% from the field with the Cardinals making 54% of their shots. The hosts also out-rebounded 'Wick, 41-28.
Tommy Kelly (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) and Patrick Garey (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) each added nine points for the Hawks.
Fisher was led by Ryan Henderson who scored 17 points. Tyler English added 16 and Sammy Robinson scored 15.
Hartwick hosts Elmira on Tuesday, February 6 at 6 p.m.
