How It Happened

• The game went back and forth early as neither team asserted control in the opening nine minutes of play. The teams were deadlocked at 18 when the Spartans ripped off five straight points to take a 23-18 lead. The Green and White maintained the lead until Lawrence Pettis hit a triple to put the Bobcats up one. York recaptured the lead on a Darin Gordon three followed by a pair of Matt Scamuffo free throws as the Spartans held a 32-28 lead.

• The Bobcats answered York's spurt with an 11-0 run to take a 39-32 lead. Frostburg increased the lead to eight before the Spartans ended the half on a quick 7-2 spurt to cut their halftime deficit to just three at 44-41.

• Frostburg never trailed in the second half as the Spartans would get close only to have the Bobcats answer. York cut the lead to one on the first possession of the second half but Frostburg quickly pushed the lead back to six. York trimmed the lead to three two more times with the second time coming on a Gordon three with 12:23 left in the game. The Bobcats answered that with a 10-1 run to push the lead to 12 with 8:34 remaining.

• The Spartans got to within seven on a Jared Wagner three pointer at the 7:41 mark but the Bobcats again had an answer as they fashinoned a sustained 15-6 run to build the lead to a game-high 16 at 84-68.

• York got to within eight in the waning seconds but it was too-little, too-late for the Green and White as they dropped their second in a row on the road.
