LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team shot over 60 percent in the first half and never trailed in rolling past Lakeland at home to claim a third straight

• Benedictine stormed out to a 10-0 lead and did not trail in the contest as Eric Grygo and Kejuan Glosson combined for the points
• The lead reached 13 points at 17-4 on a three-point play from Zach Gorney with 13:57 left in the first half
• Lakeland cut the lead to 22-16 near the halfway point of the first and to 25-19 with 9:36 left
• Jens Soderholm finished a three-point play to ignite an 8-0 run that stretched the margin to 36-19 on a layup from Kenny Bogus with 7:24 remaining in the half
• Glosson extended the lead to 21 points at 41-20 with a three-pointer at the 5:06 mark and Benedictine would lead by as many as 26, holding a 52-33 lead at the break
• The visitors trimmed the deficit to 15 at 55-40 early in the second half but Glosson hit another three to open a 12-0 run finished on a dunk from Bogus
• Benedictine led by as many as 34 points as Lakeland pulled no closer than 24 the rest of the way
• Benedictine shot 65.5 percent in the first half and finished the game at 58.3 percent, a season high
• Benedictine scored 36 points in the paint and held a 39-32 advantage on the glass
• Brayden Olson led all scorers with 24 points, adding seven assists
• Glosson knocked down four triples and finished with 18 points, notching five steals and four assists
• Grygo finished with 16 points, six rebounds and two blocks
• 18 players appeared in the contest with 11 scoring
Benedictine (11-7, 10-3 NACC) hosts Edgewood next Saturday in the first meeting between the two programs this season
